Once upon a time Catherine Flournoy yearned for a vehicle to express beauty in all that she did, inspired by so many artists coincidentally she discovered a great opportunity to give back to the community through the medium of hoopdance: an activity that has truly opened doors for her nature to express itself and delight in the magic of movement.

After changing careers three times - before, during and after college - she ultimately gave into her Truth and delve into the art of dance, a childhood activity she once thought only appropriate as an extracurricular pastime, which she later preserved and passionately enjoyed often as an adult at music and dance based events. To her delight, in time her wish to make a life of dancing was realized.

In the winter of 2006, after a brief demo given at a company holiday party, she received her first request to teach a hoop class, it was for the Panurgy Dance Project team instructing a group of professional dancers in hooping. These were the initial footprints of an exciting path in offering a hoopdance service that would not only transform her life, but would offer the same opportunity to others.

Catherine considers herself a life student always open to learning more. She draws on her qualifications and continuous (re)awakenings as an intuitive healer, experienced dancer, bodyworker and conscious entrepreneur to offer a complete heart-to-heart experience that serves the whole person, from any background, in today's world. Catherine is also bilingual Mandarin/English and uses this to bring hooping to the East Asian community.

Catherine is incredibly grateful to have the support and guidance of her family, friends and mentors who have been a great inspiration and light along her path. It is with deepest gratitude for all the gifts and tools she has received in life to make this dream possible. Taking great pleasure in this fantastic world, every opportunity Catherine has to hoopdance it is for God - and God is in all of us.
