I started out only able to keep the hoop going for about 10 seconds...by the end of the 1st class I was hooping blindfolded. Albeit, I was still dropping the hoop but only when I was trying to spin it off my body and send it whirling overhead. I sure as hell didn't expect to be doing that on day 1, but Catharine was a great instructor and made it look so irresistible. I was totally afraid I'd look like a moron, but I was quickly motivated by her skills to throw my self-consciousness to the wind...and lift up my skirt & fly. We even hooped outdoors. It was a great workout, too. I'll definitely be back for more.

The Spunk Workshop is a 3-day intensive that brings focus and awareness to hooping with the whole body in an intensive course that involves experimenting with moves such as hoop-jump-throughs and tosses from various angles and planes. This is a great way to increase stamina, improve coordination, fine-tune form and focus on breathing in a short amount of time. With the help of learning in a spacious dance studio or the great outdoors combined with high-energy music you will progressively learn how to bring all the moves together in fabulous and crowd stopping combinations!
